This October has taken quite the tumble in temperatures, from where it started in the first half of the month. Through the 25th, the average temperature for Indianapolis is now at exactly normal for the month. A fairly impressive cold stretch weather of late.

The record low maximum temperature for Indianapolis for October 24 was broken with a maximum temperature of 40º.

Indianapolis: Current Sub 80º Max Temperature Streak
IND has had 5 days in a row with a sub 80º maximum temperature. The last time that occurred was on July 4-8, 1979. Since 1943, when the airport became the official site for Indianapolis, the longest streak in July is 6 days on July 26-31, 1971.
